Now, I know that the Chain of Memories was supposed to take place between the first and second games, but I was honestly confused as hell. I hated the card thingies and it did not explain much. I like the story line though. Very nice. But I still have yet to beat the game.

Well, I think it was more along the lines of showing how Riku overcame his personal demons and to show a beginning look at the storyline for Namine and Organization XIII.

I guess that is true, but the whole set up was really...it just didn't do anything for me. I wish the game play was like the other two.

Yeah, the gameplay was definitely something diffrent and very unexpected.

The whole card system was very odd indeed. It was a neat attempt at a more complicated battle system, but it flowed much better with just straight battling and dealing with MP and all that.

There were rumors that they were going to bring in an "improved card system" for Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep, but I think they got smart as there were no signs of a card system in the scans for that game.

That is good. Now, when I watched the previews, was that Roxas I saw getting struck down or was that my imagination?

In Birth By sleep, it did look like Roxas. But the actual character is named "Ven" Tetsuya Nomura(Character Designer for the game) has hinted that he and Roxas may be related in some way, but nothing is for sure as of yet.

I do as well. Since the similarities in how the two look, I'm thinking that they would probably plan Ven would have a relation to both Roxas and Sora and to have a major part in the overall story of Birth By Sleep as well as leading the storyline into the first Kingdom Hearts game.
